The college principal Mrs. Salma Parveen goal is to evolve a new cadre of highly skilled technical professional with deep academic insights and a strong sense of Indian values and ethics commemorating our forefathers who helped shape this nation.

HISTORY & FACTS

The College grew out of the work of Salma Parveen, the great society reformer and stateswoman, who in the well known social worker of their area. Al -Shums Infotech College Nagri occupies a unique position amongst institutions of higher learning in the Chattisgarh . It was established in 2006, Spread over 5 hectares in the city of Nagri, Chattisgarh, Al -Shums Infotech College Nagri offers more than 30 courses in the traditional and modern branches of education. The college is open to all irrespective of caste, creed, religion or gender. It ranks 8th among the top college of Chattisgarh. In spite of the establishment of a numbers of institutions of higher learning, this college has been maintaining its national and international character as an institution of excellence. It has more than 2000, students, 30 teachers and some 10 non-teaching staff on its rolls. The university now has 5 faculties comprising 5 teaching departments, 3 academies and 5 centres and institution. A special feature of the university is its residential character with most of the staff and students residing on the campus. There are 2 halls of residence for students with 2 hostels. Apart from the conventional Under graduate and Post graduate courses in Social Sciences, computer Sciences and Humanities, the university keeps pace with the nations growth by offering facilities for specialized learning in areas of technical, vocational and inter- disciplinary studies separately for boys and girls and Computer Centre etc. Games and sports have been a distinctive feature of the. The Cricket, football, hockey, Tennis, Basketball. chess ,caram, table tanis, yoga classes The General Education centre is the nucleus of most of the extra-curricular activities and caters to the cultural environment. This centre organizes these activities through its various clubs viz., , the Hindustani and western Music Club, the Literary Club and the Hobbies Workshop etc. It is proudly tribal Indian institution: a living symbol of composite culture of India and a bulwark of its secular principles.
